حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ سِيرِينَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ لِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَحْيَى بِمَا مَاتَ قُلْتُ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ‏.‏ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
“‏ الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ ‏”‏‏.‏

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah’s Apostle said, “(Death from) plague is martyrdom for every Muslim.”
