Sahih Muslim Book: 22, Hadith: 4011

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ بَيْعِ الأَرْضِ الْبَيْضَاءِ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا ‏.‏ Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbidding the selling (renting of) uncultivated land for two years or three.
