Sahih Muslim Book: 38, Hadith: 5660

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَحْيَى وَأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏ “‏ إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ أَهْلِ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَذَابًا الْمُصَوِّرُونَ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ وَحَدِيثُ سُفْيَانَ كَحَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ ‏.‏ This haditli has been reported on the authority of Abu Mu’awiya through another chain of tranmitters (and the words are): ” Verity, the most grievously tormented people amongest the denizens of Hall on the Day of Resurrection would be the painters of pictures. The rest of the hadith is the same.
